Client feedback: "Can you make it pop more?" Me: "What do you mean by pop?" Client: "You know, just make it pop!" Me: "Could you be more specific?" Client: "Just add some pop to it!" This conversation went on for 20 minutes. I still don't know what "pop" means. I added some animations and they loved it. Apparently "pop" means "add animations." Good to know for next time.

Someone keeps leaving encouraging Post-It notes on my desk. "You're doing great!" "Keep up the good work!" "You got this!" I have no idea who it is. I've tried to catch them, but they're like a ninja. At first I thought it was creepy, but now I look forward to them. Whoever you are, mysterious Post-It fairy, thank you. You're making my day.

Client requested a "rainbow theme" for their website. I thought they meant colorful. They meant LITERALLY rainbow - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet in that exact order. Every button, every text, every background. It looks like a unicorn threw up on the internet. They love it. I'm questioning my life choices.

There's a bug in our code that only appears when I'm looking at it. The moment I turn away or call someone over to look at it, it disappears. I've been debugging this for three days. My team thinks I'm going crazy. I'm starting to think the code has developed consciousness and is playing hide and seek with me. Either that or I need more coffee. Probably both.

Sent a client email with what I thought was a professional emoji (just a simple smiley face). They replied with 47 emojis. I responded with 2. They sent back 89 emojis. This escalated quickly. Now our entire email thread looks like a teenager's text conversation. My boss is going to see this and think I've lost my mind. But honestly, it's kind of fun. We're now communicating entirely in emoji and somehow getting work done. This is either genius or madness.
